TURBO and Walk Bike Nashville are teamed up to work with Amqui Elementary Students to implement traffic calming measures on Anderson Ln outside the school.

Zen Drive Grant

February 2019

TURBO and Walk Bike Nashville received a grant from Zendrive to fund a traffic calming project near one of Walk Bike’s focus schools, Amqui Elementary (as part of their Safe Routes To School program). The grant money will be used to help students design yard signs to slow traffic in their neighborhood, host a design charrette with community members to decide the best ways to slow traffic in their neighborhood, and carry out a tactical urbanism project. This will include gateway treatments and a significant public art piece to slow down traffic and create a sense of place in the community.
